This is no coincidence...the launch of my Eastside LA shop at the same time as the solar eclipse of new beginnings. I didn’t purposely plan it this way, but this is how things worked out and I’m taking it as a sign from the universe.
Speaking of the cosmos, with recent headlines telling Brooklyn hipsters to move over and make room for the “Silver Lake Shaman”, it’s no secret that there’s a modern mystic movement happening on the east side of Los Angeles. One might argue that all of the historically hippie City of Angels is part of this movement, but the east side is a venerable a ring leader. Its residents not only embrace the weird and witchy, they take pride in it by displaying pins and posters that say things like, “Sister Witches Unite”. Tarot, auras, moon cycles, meditation sound baths, and plant medicine are part of everyday conversation here. I am one of many who have been seduced by the zeitgeist of this particular time and place that feels decidedly feminine, otherworldly and powerful all at once. In stark contrast to our current political climate, this energy feels like exactly what the world needs more of right now. And it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, its force seems only to have grown stronger over the past years as we entered the progressive and humanitarian Age of Aquarius.
Having experienced my own spiritual awakening a year ago and rediscovering my passion for all things mystical, I was inspired to share all the beauty I find in this very special place. So I’ve rounded up a handful of my favorite magic makers, movers, and shakers on the east side.
Take the mystical journey, explore the collection and discover the magic.
